South Cheshire Branch Meeting
The South Cheshire Branch are holding their regular monthly meeting – on Thursday August 5th – in person rather than via Zoom. The meeting will be held at Reaseheath College, where members will be able to view the new apiary and take part in some beekeeping demonstrations as well as having the usual opportunity to ask questions and hear about developments at the Branch.
Please head for Reaseheath College Entrance 1 – CW5 6DF – and park in the visitors’ car park (on the right – although if you go into the larger car park on the left it would seem to be OK). Someone will be there to point you in the right direction for the Lecture Theatre, but it is basically straight ahead. There will be signage to help you. You will sign in as usual at the Lecture Theatre and then be taken in small groups to the apiary. There will be a beginners corner and demonstrations on disease inspection and clearing bees from supers. After the apiary session we will head back to the Lecture Theatre for the usual announcements, questions and answers. Please note that you must bring a clean beesuit, gloves etc. There will probably be no refreshments (although we are working on this) so bring a drink if you think you might need one.
Start time as usual for apiary meetings is 6.30 p.m. Don’t worry if you can’t quite make this time – you will still be able to join in!
