Beekeeping
Introduction
Beekeeping is a very old craft, and an absorbing hobby for the young and not so young.
Although keeping bees is often thought of as a rural craft, many beekeepers live in towns and suburbs. Most suburban areas will provide enough forage to support a few colonies.
One advantage of keeping bees compared with other livestock is that they do not require such regular attention. From October to March, bees do not normally need any attention at all, and from April to September once a week is normally sufficient.
